Jon H. Barton III - Our Founder.

Jon started his career working for a mostly remodel focused contractor as a helper where he started at the bottom, sweeping up floors, cleaning up, digging ditches, and being the gofer. He worked his way up to Carpenter and fell in love with trim carpentry and crafting beautiful things with his hands. Jon used his work ethic and skills to pay his way through business school at Chattahoochee Technical College where he graduated with a business degree. Shortly after graduation he transitioned to working for a custom home builder in Buckhead where he developed his skill set as a superintendent building new luxury homes both spec homes and custom homes. After a few years he transitioned to being a project manager for a roofing company performing specialty roofing services for other general contractors building custom homes and even many commercial construction projects. Being exposed to so many other builders and contractors made him miss being the builder and inspired him to start Barton Construction Company, LLC.

“One day as a superintendent, I was building one of the last homes in a subdivision, and I could see several of the other recently completed homes. I saw a young couple bring home their first child from the hospital into a home that we had just recently completed for them. In that same 1 month time frame we had 3 families total bring home new children to their homes that we had built. This left a lasting impression on me and brings great joy to know that I am constructing one of the most important earthly possessions that these families own. They are trusting us to build a home that they feel safe in and where they want to raise their families.”
